"Coolest new band of 2025" (Powerplay Magazine)

As featured on BBC Introducing

Heavy rock trio driven by infectious 8-string riffage.

DELLA NOVA are a London-based three-piece rooted in the intersection of progressive heavy rock and metal. They have seamlessly crafted a sound that blends technical prowess with catchy, hook-led songwriting, achieving a balance that has already earned support from BBC Introducing.

Named “Coolest New Band of 2025” by Powerplay Magazine, the trio fuse weighty 8-string guitar grooves with vocals that oscillate between melody and grit.

The band’s name was born when songwriter and frontman Alex Bowmer, while working as a witch’s librarian, stumbled upon documents detailing a secret magical order from the 1980s called The Ordine Della Nova.

Alongside Alex is bassist Johann Saul and drummer Adam Szabo, holding down a crushing rhythm section that packs a potent punch. DELLA NOVA cite Alice in Chains, Tool, Deftones and Meshuggah as influences, embedding the DNA of rock giants with a distinctly fresh edge.

Live activity is ramping up in 2026, after being crowed Winners of the Battle of the Bands in Milton Keynes at the end of last year, with notable support slots including Diamond Black, Nuns of the Tundra and Bleeker. Having built a reputation across London’s grassroots circuit, including venues like The Dev, The Fighting Cocks and The Finsbury, they are now stepping into a wider phase of national visibility.

DELLA NOVA are heavy rock with range - technically fluent, dynamic, and built to connect beyond the niche.
